Is western afterlife a good genre on which to write a book on?
I already have a plan out but im not sure how popular it would be nor do i have the guts to finish it and show it to people?
What do you think?
I just depends on your style if you like writing about fact, fiction, fantasy whatever. But if it is something you aren’t sure about its your choice. As long as your having fun with writing it.
If there’s an afterlife why fear death?
If someone believes there’s something after death, and especially if it is something good, why would they fear death?
If it truly exists, wouldn’t you want to go to this paradise as soon as possible?
Some people fear death because they are not yet ready to die. Some people hate life and wish they’d die. Maybe people fear death because they’re scared they’ll go to hell and not paradise. I personally don’t believe in the afterlife. I think it’s there for people to die peacefully and not be afraid (if you get what I mean). And plus how can we be so sure it exists?
No offense to anyone who believes in the afterlife but that’s just what i think.

what do jewish people believe about the afterlife?
Judaism is about what we DO in this life, not about what we believe. Because Jews have total intellectual freedom, there is no common belief about the afterlife. You can read some opinions here.

BTW, it’s okay to call us Jews.

Jesus Christ is God the Son, incarnated into human to save the human race. He died on the cross and resurrected ie. came back to life and then He ascended ie. went up to heaven and is now seated at God’s right hand.
All christian teachings originate from the Holy Bible.
Paradise – heaven is where a christian soul goes to upon death, ie. afterlife.
Hell is where a heathen ie. non-christian soul goes to upon death.
Judgment Day refers to the last day of this earth when …
1. all souls whose names are written in the Book of Life will stand with God.
2. all souls whose names are NOT written in the Book of Life, ie. those who are in hell, will be resurrected ie. come back to life, stand before God who will sit in Judgment and judge them guilty and will sentence them to eternal torment in the lake of fire.
3. this current earth and heaven will be destroyed and a new heaven and a new earth will be made for us, God’s people to live in where there is no sun b/c God and Christ will be the LIGHT and there will be no more night or darkness.
as for the other q, you gotta ask the relevant groups.
what is the source of Jewish beliefs on reincarnation
i know that some Jewish people believe in reincarnation.. but does this come from a book? personal interpretation or black and white.. or what? basically if i wanted to learn about Jewish reincarnation or any Jewish afterlife beliefs… where should i look…
There’s no Biblical source to it – and it’s not a standard Jewish belief. Because Judaism doesn’t have a set dogma about what happens after death, many many opinions arose about what the afterlife would be.
The belief in reincarnation in Judaism mostly comes from Kabbalah texts, though I believe there are also some Chassidic folktales that also consider it a possibility.

Isn’t there a fundamental injustice in the Christian view of the afterlife?
I have been taught all my life that "It is through your faith not your works that you will be judged". If this is true, this means that fundamentally good, moral people are sent to hell. Why would a just god perform such an unjust action on the vast bulk of the human population?
Sorry, just to clear up, I am an atheist. I am just curious about the philosophical implications of the question.
I see many people are asking how is it an injustice. I guess from some standpoints it isn’t. that’s why I am asking. But from what many of you are telling me, you are basically born with a strike against you. What is the point of eternal torment?
There are many different forms of Christian faith. You were taught one interpretation of Christianity with a harsh, judgmental view of the afterlife. It’s a human teaching. You don’t have to accept it. You’re free to listen to your heart, and to read the Scriptures with your own mind.
MOST Christians — it’s the official teaching of the Catholic Church and the mainline Protestant churches — believe that anyone can be saved. A lot of Christians have believed that EVERYONE will be saved (they’re called Universalists). Be the kind of Christian your conscience tells you to be.
Church history Discuss the factors that led judaism to break away from its parent faith which is now?
the religion of christianity. Hi i have a 2000 word essay to do and I was thinking of talking about hellenism and how the greek language had an effect on the hebrew scriptures, also the belief system of an afterlife, baptism and circumsicion could anyone give me some suggestions, other things i could talk about as well , what others factors affected judaims there was also the political forces alexander and the differnet forms of judaism the pharissess and sadduccess thanks
Judaism is over 2,000 years older than christianity, so how do you say christianity is the parent faith ?
Judaism and christianity are diametrically opposed systems. christianity adopted the Greek interpretation of the Hebrew Scriptures, which were a poor interpretation at best, The Greek and then later the Latin were not translations, but interpretations, lacking the depth of the Hebrew language.
Baptism is a shallow copy of the Hebrew Mikvah, which the Creator instructed the Nation of Israel, as not a 1 time thing but an on going observance for a myriad of reasons.
All righteous have a part in the world to come.
Perhaps you can come back when you come to realize the wayward child does not give birth to the parent.
