The Financial Aspect to Education
This idea that poorer children bring their families personal problems to school with them and in turn are less able to fully concentrate is well founded. I believe that the financial aspect to education is only one aspect of a very complicated piece of machinery. In the end the thought that poor students must deal with less effective teachers, inadequate resources and multiple family issues relates heavily to a students performance. These issues transcend race and religion and must be effectively dealt with. The article written by Jarosz and Lawson focus directly on the demonization of a certain group of people, in this case rural poor whites.
