how am going to tell my muslim parents i left islam to become an atheist?
im unsure of god’s existence but am sure theres no such thing as an afterlife
Asslam Walaikum, All I can do is pray for you. If you are too young don’t tell your parents or anybody about your decision. May be this is a passing phase; and Allah(swt) has got a beautiful plan for your salvation and will bring you back into Islam soon Insha Allah. Al Hamdu Lillah Rabbil Aalameen.

If you’re still financially dependent on them, don’t.

In the Islamic religion, you are to be put to death for leaving the religion, have fun doing that!
I do hope you don’t live in the Middle-east as this is enforced through law.
I do agree with following what you believe, Like the decline of Catholicism, Islam needs the same dilution.

you are in a predicament for sure. how old are you? if you are over 18 its your right to believe what you want to and if your parents love you then they shouldnt threaten to disown you or berate you.
good luck

Make sure you have good reasons first, like make sure that you have thought about this well. A lot of fundamentally religious parents follow their religious doctrine and if something goes against it, even their own child, a lot of the times they’ll disown them.
That being said, if you rely on them to survive don’t tell them yet. If you live on your own and don’t need them or you have a relative to live with that you trust, go ahead.

may God show u the right path, but after all u r free to choose the life that u want.
i guess it depends on how open-minded ur parents r, if they r close-minded & u tell them it’ll make matters worse, they’ll use bloody ways to convert u back, & u’ll stick more to what u believe in, so dont tell them if that’s the case.
if they r more open-minded, just tell them in a simple & straight forward way, sure they’ll try to talk to u & convince u to return back to islam, but they rn’t going to do anything aggressive, & in that case the truth will be the best option, & who knows, maybe they can make u change ur mind.

How come you be so sure that there is no afterlife?? Study Quran and aHadith carefully. And also the science of universe and big bang. Were you a muslim previously? Or just never care about islam any time in your life? Try to learn about islam. You will find peace. Its the most rational way of life.

well as a muslim guy i say u need to explain to them whats ur thoughts and feelings to them, but on the other hand i say you dont understand enough about islam to say ur sure about anything without a real understand of who you are rejecting, i know the proff of god and the after life, and im not talking about things that u feel inside, im saying there is phisical proff, if you want to walk about it im hear, if you are still unsure after we talk then u have to go to ur parents and explain what are ur thoughts, example of proff, quran its self, dozens of sicentist convert to islam from the proff of sicence in the quran,
