The Jewish Tradition:
*There is no (other than a pastoral valley in Jerusalem)
*There is a “next world” which we know nothing about.
*Some people will have a second chance to go to the “next world” (by reincarnation or limbo).
*Evil people will simply die.
*Once you’re dead, God has no need to punish you.

I say tradition, because in the Bible and Talmud there is very little reference to this issue and it’s considered peripheral and unimportant.

It would be interesting to here what your sources are re afterlife in Judaism. In my reading of the old testament, it isn’t even certain that there is one. Take Ecclesiastes 3:19-22:

19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

there is no mention …
there is no mention of eternal punishment, however it does mention the word Sheol. Instead of meaning eternal punishment as you suggest in the context of where souls will be when they die before the coming of the messiah jewish people believe it means they will wait in their grave . so sheol means grave.
